Each of the 21 tools built into this ultimate multi-tasker open smoothly with one hand, and snap back into place after use using Leatherman FREE technology.
The CPM MagnaCut steel used to make the knife blade of the Arc is truly outstanding. CPM MagnaCut steel puts and end to the need to choose between edge retention and blade strength, and lets you have it all. The MagnaCut steel blade has exceptional edge retention, and also excels in strength, toughness, and ease of sharpening. It is then finished with a DLC coating that makes it nearly completely impervious to corrosion.
To open the tools in the ARC, simply push the end with your thumb and spare your fingernails. Each and every tool is available from the outside of the Arc when the pliers are closed, allowing you to access anything you need with a single hand straight from the sheath. The cam lock is also simple to operate with one hand, and prevents tools from closing unexpectedly while on the job.
The evolved ergonomics of the ARC make it feel right at home in the palm of your hand, and haptic feedback assures you that tools are locked back into place where they belong when you have finished the task at hand.
The ARC has a the Leatherman FREE magnetic locking system with little friction and great security that will stand the test of time.
